The megaliths existing on these sites are basically dolmens and tumuli and, in lesser numbers, menhirs.

Cromlechs are not known in these ranges of hills. In contrast with eastern Gipuzkoa, with just a few exceptions this type of megalith is non-existent in these ranges of hills of south-western Gipuzkoa.

The megaliths of the Elgea-Artia, Kurutzeberri and Orkatzategi ranges of hills belong to the municipalities of Oñate, Eskoriatza and Leintz-Gatzaga.
